Review summary
Based on recent reviews

Guests often praise the Balincourt's beautiful Victorian building and find the rooms comfortable, clean, and spacious. Many appreciate the updated features and little touches like daily chocolates and refilled hot drinks trays. The breakfast stands out, especially the excellent quality sausage and bacon, though a few guests have noted that the mattresses could be more supportive. Convenient parking is available, and it's an easy walk to both the beach and town centre via Boscombe Chine.

tasty breakfast friendly staff small shower ripped base
the breakfast offered a good choice and was very tasty. the staff were friendly and helpful, they were great too assist me. i appreciated the daily housekeeping service which kept everything very clean. the location was also convenient with an excellent bus service right opposite the hotel.
the shower was a little small, it was difficult to move around comfortably. the bed base had a rip visible under the mattress, i found this a bit unsightly. i noticed bits of wall border were loose and sticking out it should be repaired.

insufficient lighting average breakfast
while the building has a certain charm, i found the service a bit lacking (especially for what i paid). the cooked breakfast wasn't anything special. the sausage, egg, mushrooms and beans all tasted very average. i also found the bedside lighting insufficient. It was difficult to read, and there was no bedside switch for the main room lights. it made things a bit inconvenient at night. our experience was a little disappointing overall.
